Measuring Our Environmental Impact
We measure our impact by applying metrics developed by the Environmental Working Group, a not-for-profit organization involved in research and advocacy in agriculture, toxic chemicals, drinking water pollutants, and corporate accountability. Their Meat Eaters Guide to Climate Change + Health was published in 2011 and remains one of their most widely circulated publications.
We applied their lifecycle greenhouse gas emission calculations for common proteins to measure and compare how we stack up. We’ve sold over 1.5 million grams of plant-based protein since we started in 2014.
Potentially, this has kept over 130,000 KG of Co2 emissions from entering the atmosphere.
We remain very proud of the direct impact we continue to have in reducing CO2 emissions, even as a small business. Baby steps add up.
